SETUZA a.s. is one of a leading processors of oil seeds and the biggest producer of edible plant oil on the Czech market (70 % market share) . We also supply the market with washing agents, toilet and washing soaps, cologne water and face lotion. Technical and oleochemical products represent 15 % of the production volume and these are supplied to other industrial clients or as fundamental raw material in the production of ecological fuels and lubricants.

History in Brief

SETUZA a.s. obtained its current legal status of the company on 7 May 1992 as a result of the voucher privatization. Nevertheless, the company history dates back to 1848 when Georg Schicht, farmer and butcher of Rynoltice near Liberec, got a trade license to produce soap.

The main shareholders of the joint stock company SETUZA are Ceský olej (90.7 %). The company has the “German model” of management---the supervisory board is made of shareholders and the board of directors manages the company.
