Toothpaste is produced from a silicate base. In the last quarter of the year 2001 Setuza started using silicate base for the whole toothpaste line. Unlike the phosphate and carbonaceous bases the silicate base has several advantages:
- it is more protective to dentition
- enables incorporation of modern active substances and aromas
- has greater potential for the production of color toothpaste
- toothpaste is more compact and less liquid
- guarantee period is increased
- is used by all relevant competitors and so the quality of the home toothpaste is comparable with the that of foreign producers
Active substances are added to the base to ensure the required effect on teeth, tooth enamel etc. The active substances are often combined to enhance or extend the effect. The effects are various - prevention of dental caries and tartar, enamel re-enforcement, removal of tooth plaque, healing of bleeding gums and sensitive teeth, and also the bleaching effects that are now very popular.
The flavor of a toothpaste depends on two factors. Some active substances have distinctive flavor and smell, e.g. tea tree oil in the Stoma toothpaste. The majority of toothpastes is flavored with special aroma which add a fresh, menthol, peppermint or fruit flavor to the pastes.
We cover all segments - LOW, MEDIUM, PREMIUM as well as special or medical.
